How to get to the Max Planck Institute

The Max Planck Institute (MPI) for Terrestrial Microbiology is located in Marburg, Germany, which is a very beautiful (and very old) university city near Frankfurt. The MPI is on the science and hospital campus of the University of Marburg, on a hill called "Lahnberge". Our building is the new building next to the main building of the MPI.

By plane: Fly to Frankfurt Airport (FRA), then take the train (company: Deutsche Bahn) to Marburg train station. Then take the bus to the University campus "Lahnberge" (see instructions below), or the taxi directly to the MPI.

By bus from Marburg train station: Take bus routes 7, 9, or 11, from the bus stop right outside the train station, and get off at either the bus stop "Hans-Meerwein-Strasse" or at "University Hospital/Universitätsklinik", and have a look at the map below.
